Public Space

Nolli's map is utilized as a method to identify different types of public realm in students’ precincts.The map is then used to also analyze the degree of ‘public-ness’ basis access restrictions pertaining to gender, time, age and cost.

The comparison between within city context of Chennai, taking Anna Nagar located at the core and Nanganallur, located at south of 1sq.km as precincts within Chennai and comparing across Sonarpur, which is located at peripheral of Kolkata. In the same city, the south contrasts with core.

Trade-offs across Chennai, though establishing employment opportunities also connecting corridors, the choice is limited to the availability of land, and the natural growth of city satisfying needs to an extent wherein income plays a factor which doesn�t allow to deal with more choices.
