Urban Land

Land-use map describes the existing purpose each plot of land serves and the location, distribution and total area of different land uses at the precinct level.

PEMMASANI HARSHITHA

Some localities of old Bangalore still retain their charm and culture while accommodating a booming real estate Banashankari is one such area. 1sqkm precinct in Banashankari reflects all the characteristics of a rapidly developing residential locality. The real estate boom here began in 22, with the completion of Outer Ring Road passing through the locality. To cater to the commercial needs of the increasing residential activities, a BDA complex- shopping complex was built around which commercial activities thrived since 28. The Banashankari bus depot, Metro connectivity to the area, dramatically increased the property prices here. Despite, these positive determinants, documentation and study inform that the area and its surroundings have begun to deviate from the trajectory of sustainable urban growth.
